Creators sometimes question themselves : “ why should I entrust the administration of my rights to a company such as RDB Music Group, when I am a member of a PRO who is supposed to provide this work for me? ”
A Performing Rights Organization (PRO) and Rights Administrators like RDB Music Group are two complementary entities.
PROs are there to collect rights from all music users in their territory (Tv, radio, digital & streams, concert, store, etc.). Once these rights are collected, they have to process tons of reports in order to know who to pay back these royalties.
That's precisely when the issues arise for audiovisual & advertising rights, because a lot of usage are unreported, some needed information are missing in a cuesheet to properly identify the right music title and the real rights holders.
